What will it take to get white people to divest from white supremacy and commit to racial justice in actionable and accountable ways? This is the question that the documentary WHITE IN AMERICA seeks to answer.
Whiteness is the unspoken force at the core of racial injustice in America.
It shapes our culture, dictates policy, and drives our deepest, most emotional beliefs about ourselves and others.
Brutally honest, eye-opening, and accessible to audiences of all political persuasions, WHITE IN AMERICA is the first major feature documentary to examine this powerful unseen force at the center of our politics, turning the lens on whiteness like never before.
WHITE IN AMERICA demonstrates how we can — and must — work together to form a more perfect union, and provides a framework for awareness, accountability and healing.

WHITE IN AMERICA
THE DOCUMENTARY
WHITE IN AMERICA follows the journeys of three white protagonists as they grapple with the consequences of whiteness in their own lives--and the lives they've impacted. From a redneck in Kentucky to a pastor in North Carolina and a former white supremacist in Huntington Beach, California — these snapshots will take audiences across the country inviting reflection, accountability, and the possibility of real change.
Woven throughout the film, serving as powerful counterpoint, are the stories of BIPOC thought leaders and racial justice experts forced to reckon with the impact of whiteness on their day to day lives.
WHITE IN AMERICA is about having honest and necessary conversations & pushing people deeper into the fight against white supremacy. That work doesn’t end with this documentary. We have compiled resources to support you including books, articles, podcasts, tools for educators, AND MORE.
