LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
The U.S. is built on occupied and stolen land, so we must honor the indigenous people who have history, traditions, stories of resistance, languages, and creation stories born of the land.
Our team is scattered across the country on land that is the traditional and unceded territory of the Gabrieleño-Tongva, Chumash, and Tataviam People of modern-day Southern California; the Lenape, Rockaway, Canarsie People of modern-day New York City; and more. We also acknowledge the many displaced indigenous people and tribes from across the Americas who live on new land carrying their traditions and histories with them.
We honor and acknowledge the land and those who have come before us. Not only through these words but also through our actions and daily work. We hope to use each day to right the wrongs committed against both the land and the indigenous peoples of the Americas.
